Meet the Doctors
Dr. Shoshana Kreinces grew up the daughter of a radiologist and modern dance choreographer in Key West, Florida.
"I have seen my share of trauma and injuries early on in life. My dad would share stories from the ER. Although you could only drive 35 miles an hour in the Keys, you would be surprised how many scooter, motorcycle and pedestrian accidents occurred on a daily basis. I took my fair share of antibiotics and Advil with an MD leading our family's health care. As a dance instructor and choreographer, my mother brought in balance with physical fitness and healthy choices. We learned good posture fast in my house. Modern dance and taking ballet helped but some 'old school' methods were employed. I remember my sister and I balancing books on our heads walking up and down the hall with instruction from my mom on proper form.
It was actually my dad who suggested Chiropractic! I was going to school at University of Florida studying Health Science Education and volunteering at a local Physical Therapy facility. It was my dad who suggested I make a visit to Dr. Debbie Flynn. He said "she looked happy". It was not soon after meeting her I was able to see why! She was touching people and making them feel better. No Advil needed. They came in sad and depleted and left feeling good and invigorated. Since graduating from Life University in 1997, I have thoroughly enjoyed doing just the same for many others including myself. I get adjusted twice a week and love travelling, practicing yoga, exercising, spending time with my life partner and my dogs."
Dr. Kristy Francavilla is originally from Long Island, New York.
"Growing up I was always involved in athletics. My sister and I went to Catholic school and we were very involved in CYO. I remember receiving accolades for my efforts in volleyball, basketball, and track and field. I was the first girl to be accepted onto an all male baseball team and hit a grand slam my first time up to bat! Although today I am not a practicing Catholic, I consider myself spiritual and thankful for all of the gifts that organization gave to me so early on. I learned discipline, hard work, physical endurance and team work. I played sports for many years to follow and have no doubt that it helped me to always have good health through the years, not to mention first hand knowledge of injuries incurred on the court and in the field.
Life took a turn for me when my mother was first diagnosed with cancer. I was in 6th grade. At the time, I had no understanding of the implications or what was happening. I also remember as a child my parents visiting friends in the hospital for conditions like diabetes and heart disease and unfortunately losing two of their best friends this way. It seemed to be regular and was somewhat disturbing. It wasn't until I was home on a break from undergraduate school at Towson State University in Maryland, that my life took its next turn in a car accident on the Long Island Expressway. Luckily, I had no serious injuries but was advised to see a Chiropractor. I saw Dr. David Levine in Hicksville. It was a subtle yet amazing clearing. Everytime I got adjusted I would seem to have more clarity in my thinking and feeling and being. I started asking questions, reading books, talking to people who were studying. It became quite clear that the way to help people avoid suffering from cancer, heart disease and diabetes was to help them never to get there in the first place.
I myself am amazed at the human body every day and when given a chance what it can do. I have been studying and practicing diet, exercise, and nutrition now for over 20 years. With a lot of ups and downs, I will always be a student of Life and seek to always know more and do better for myself and my patients."
