Getting Started
What conditions do chiropractors treat?
Chiropractors treat a wide range of musculoskeletal and movement-related conditions. At Live Well Chiropractic, we commonly help patients with:
Your care starts with a comprehensive evaluation so we can understand what is contributing to your symptoms and create a plan based on your specific findings and goals.
What makes Live Well Chiropractic different?
At the Purple House of Healing, we take a posture-focused, movement-based approach to chiropractic care. We don't just look at where you hurt, we look at how your body is moving, where restrictions may be occurring, and what may be contributing to the problem.
From chiropractic adjustments and postural correction to mobility work and individualized recommendations, our goal is to help you feel better, move better, and maintain those improvements long term.
Do I need to be in pain to see a chiropractor?
No! While many patients initially come to us because something hurts, you do not have to be in pain to benefit from chiropractic care.
We also see patients who want to improve mobility and posture, move more comfortably, stay active, or maintain the progress they've already made.
Do you accept HSA/FSA?
Yes! We accept HSA and FSA cards for eligible services and products at Live Well Chiropractic.
Because individual plans can vary, we recommend checking with your HSA or FSA administrator if you have questions about a specific eligible expense.
Where is Live Well Chiropractic located in Midtown Atlanta?
We're located near the intersection of 11th Street and Juniper Street in the heart of Midtown Atlanta.
Our office is within walking distance of many Midtown apartment communities, offices, and businesses, making it convenient to fit care into your day.
Your Visit
Do you offer same-day chiropractic appointments?
New patients: Your initial visit includes a consultation and comprehensive examination. If an adjustment is appropriate based on your examination, same-day treatment may be provided at the doctor's discretion.
Current patients: Yes! Same-day appointments are often available. Call or text our office and we'll do our best to get you in that day.
What can I expect on my first visit?
Your first visit begins with a conversation about your health history, current concerns, lifestyle, and goals.
From there, we'll perform a comprehensive examination that may include orthopedic and neurological testing, postural assessment, movement evaluation, and digital spinal X-rays when clinically appropriate.
This gives us the information we need to understand what's going on and determine the best approach for your care.
How many visits will I need?
Your care plan is personalized to you. The number and frequency of visits depends on what we find during your examination, how long the problem has been present, your lifestyle, and your goals.
We'll explain our recommendations clearly so you understand what we're working on, why we're recommending it, and what your options are.
How often should I see a chiropractor?
There isn't one schedule that works for everyone. Some patients begin with more frequent care while we're actively addressing a problem and then decrease frequency as they improve.
Others choose ongoing wellness or maintenance care to support mobility, movement, and the progress they've made.
Care & Techniques
Is chiropractic care safe?
Chiropractic care is generally considered safe when appropriately performed by a licensed chiropractor. As with any healthcare treatment, it isn't completely without risk, which is why we evaluate you before beginning care.
We select techniques based on your examination findings, health history, goals, and comfort level rather than using the exact same adjustment for every patient.
Do you offer gentle or non-twisting neck adjustments?
Absolutely. Not every chiropractic adjustment has to involve twisting or "cracking."
We offer gentle and low-force techniques and can tailor your adjustment style to your comfort level. Depending on your needs, techniques may include instrument-assisted adjusting, ArthroStim, Toggle, Thompson, and other approaches.
If you're nervous about having your neck adjusted, tell us. We'll talk through your options before we do anything.
Conditions & Movement
Can chiropractic care help with headaches or migraines?
Yes. Chiropractic care can help certain types of headaches, particularly headaches associated with neck tension, restricted cervical movement, and musculoskeletal dysfunction.
We evaluate your neck, posture, movement, and other contributing factors so we can determine the most appropriate approach to your symptoms.
Can chiropractic care help with chronic neck or back pain?
Yes. Neck and back pain are two of the most common reasons patients seek chiropractic care.
We use chiropractic adjustments, mobility work, postural assessment, and individualized recommendations to address musculoskeletal contributors to pain, improve movement, and help you function more comfortably.
Can an Atlanta chiropractor help with sciatica?
Yes. We regularly see patients experiencing sciatica and radiating leg symptoms.
Because sciatica can have different causes, we first evaluate your spine, movement, and neurological findings to identify what may be contributing to the irritation. From there, we create an individualized plan designed to improve movement and reduce musculoskeletal stress on the affected area.
Can an Atlanta chiropractor help with posture?
Absolutely. Posture is a major focus of our approach at Live Well Chiropractic.
We assess posture and movement as part of your examination and identify areas of restriction, imbalance, or poor movement patterns. Your care may include chiropractic adjustments, corrective exercises, mobility work, and ergonomic recommendations.
Can an Atlanta chiropractor help with scoliosis?
Yes. We work with patients who have scoliosis to address associated stiffness, mobility restrictions, muscular tension, and discomfort.
Chiropractic care does not cure scoliosis or eliminate the underlying spinal curvature, but conservative care can be used to support movement, mobility, and musculoskeletal function.
Can chiropractic care support athletic performance?
Yes. Athletes commonly incorporate chiropractic care into their overall approach to mobility, recovery, and musculoskeletal health.
We focus on joint mobility, movement quality, and restrictions that may interfere with how your body moves during training and everyday activity.
Can chiropractic care help with sleep?
Chiropractic care isn't a treatment for sleep disorders, but musculoskeletal discomfort can make it difficult to get comfortable at night.
By addressing pain, stiffness, and mobility concerns, some patients find they're able to rest more comfortably.
How does chiropractic care relate to the nervous system?
Your spine surrounds and protects the spinal cord, while nerves travel throughout the body from the spinal column.
Our chiropractic approach focuses on the musculoskeletal side of that relationship — improving joint movement, addressing restrictions, and supporting comfortable, efficient movement.
We're here to help.
